Responsibilities
• Implementation and maintenance of FSSC 22000 and HACCP food safety programs and management systems requirements
• Ensuring the facility complies with the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Management of customer complaints and investigation of the root cause and implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Developing, reviewing and updating the HACCP plans of existing and new products.
• Identifying training needs for Food Safety Team Members and coordinating such training with relevant bodies.
• Developing and reviewing procedures, records and work instructions relevant to the Food Safety Management System.
• Undertaking in-house training of staff on issues related to food safety, personal hygiene.
• Coordinating with external labs & government agencies for testing, calibration and other verification activities.
• Overseeing the assessment of raw materials to ensure the best quality raw material for processing by administering the supplier quality management.
• Undertaking various audits to ensure finished products comply with the food safety requirements, i.e. glass audit monitoring and metal detection monitoring.
• Managing the Health, Safety and Environmental functions.
• Overseeing the KAIZEN initiatives
Requirements
• A Degree in Food Safety Science or any other related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a busy Food production manufacturing facility with a proven record track record
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, honesty, and impeccable integrity virtues.
• Be computer literate and willing to work under pressure and for long hours including weekends.
• Must be a Lead Auditor (Certified) on Food Safety Management systems
• Age – 30 years and above
